WSKG Public Media presents
Be My Neighbor Day 2027
A free, tigertastic celebration of kindness, community, and what it means to be a good neighbor — inspired by the legacy of Fred Rogers and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.
Why we do this
Won't you be my neighbor?
"There are three ways to ultimate success: the first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind." — Fred Rogers
Be My Neighbor Day is WSKG Public Media's annual, free community celebration, inspired by the values Fred Rogers spent a lifetime teaching and carried forward today by Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. It's a chance for families across the region to spend a morning together learning what it really means to be a good neighbor.
Each year, dozens of local organizations set up shop side by side — health and safety groups, arts and nature programs, family services — so kids and grown-ups alike can see just how many people work quietly, every day, to make this neighborhood a kinder place to live.
